Van Matre HealthSouth and Project Mobility to Host Bike Day for Adaptive Cycling

8/10/2017

Van Matre HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between Mercy Rockford Health System and HealthSouth and Project Mobility will host a Bike Day to promote health, independence and freedom of mobility through adaptive cycling on August 15 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. The event will take place in the southwest parking lot at Van Matre HealthSouth located at 950 S. Mulford in Rockford, Illinois.

Project Mobility will have equipment and technicians on site so attendees can trial different bicycles to find what works best for their needs. Participants who may not need an adaptive bike are welcome to still try the equipment for educational fun. Beverages and a light snack will be provided while attendees wait to test the bicycles. Van Matre HealthSouth will also give away free bicycle helmets to all participants on a first come, first serve basis.
